Causes Of Excessive Head Sweating
When it comes to excessive sweating in general, the main areas of the human body that it tends to effect most are the underarms, palms, feet, back and of course the forehead.
There is nothing worse than being in a public place, or in a meeting and you can feel the tingling of your head as sweat starts to break through. In a lot of cases this can be normal and from time to time most of us experience a sweating head.
However, excessive head sweating in this case, can also be a symptom of another underlying problem.
So, what are the main causes of excessive head sweating?
Are you Anxious or Stressed?
Anxiety and Stress can be a cause of excessive sweating, and sweating can actually be one of the main symptoms of these issues. If you are under a lot of stress lately in work or in your personal life, and are at the same time getting anxious about everything, sweating excessively can be a symptom of this, and the forehead can be the main target of this excessive sweat.
Skipping Meals?
If you skip meals throughout the day, or are currently eating less than you should be for daily function, this could be a cause of excessive head sweating.
Eating too little through the day, and skipping meals can result in low blood sugar levels which can then lead to over sweating of the head and other areas of the body such as the underarms and back.
Underlying Health Issues?
If you are currently suffering from an underlying health issue such as infection, disease or disorder, excessive sweating can be a symptom of this underlying issue.
Have you sweat heavily from the forehead for years, or has it just recently got worse? If it is of more recent nature, then a trip to the doctor may be a good idea to see if there is any underlying reason for it.
Going Through The Menopause?
Unfortunately one cause of excessive head sweating and profuse sweating in general is that of the menopause. Menopause symptoms can include sweating commonly, so this could be the cause of any excess head sweating.
Genetics Can Be The Culprit?
Family genetics can also be causes for excessive head sweating. If your family members also suffer from over sweating, then this could be the culprit for your excess head sweat.
