Excessive Sweating Deodorant

Excessive Sweating Deodorant – Is There One?

The simple answer to the question ‘is there a deodorant to combat excessive sweating?’ is a resounding yes!  In fact there are several different options to try.  The kind of deodorant you need will depend on the amount you sweat, and whether you are a man or a woman.

It is a biological fact that men tend to be sweatier than women.  Consequently, they have stronger deodorants anyway with larger amounts of Aluminum Chloride which is the active ingredient in antiperspirant deodorant.   Some women find that they can use deodorant designed for men to stop their excessive sweating; as the deodorants are formulated for men, they can be enough to stop what would be termed excess sweat on a woman.

However, men do not have this option.  As well as this, some women don’t want to use the deodorants which are flavored for men.  There are alternatives for both men and women which provide a unisex alternative, with more active ingredient.  The increase in percentage of Aluminum Chloride is the factor which creates a greater blocking of the sweat glands, which in turn creates the increased effect of an excessive sweating deodorant.  These create a somewhat harsher effect, but have been proved to have a greater impact of excess sweating than regular brands of deodorant.

There are several different excessive sweating deodorants on the market, and each contain different formulas and different percentages of Aluminum Chloride to create an individual affect.  However, it should be noted that all of these formulas are harsh on the skin, and can cause irritation.  As well as this, they can only be used on certain parts of the body.

Excessive sweating deodorant is most commonly used on the underarms, but there are other areas where excess sweating commonly occurs, such as the head and hands.  There are deodorants which are specially formulated to prevent sweat on the head, but these are different to the most common excess sweating deodorants.

There are several different brands available on the market.  If you have trouble with one brand, don’t assume that none will work for you. There are some brands which contain the same amount of Aluminum Chloride, but have different formulations which may suit your skin type better.  Also, look into the sort of protection you need.  Particularly if you have sensitive skin, it is may be worth the trouble to try a milder version first, and then work up in strength if the milder strength deodorant doesn’t seem to be strong enough for your needs

It is also important to remember that if none of the deodorants work, it doesn’t mean that there is no answer for you.  Many deodorants can work in conjunction with other products such as anti-sweating wipes which are now available; you may also find them more effective if you wear loose fitting clothes made of natural materials.  Excess sweating deodorants don’t have to work alone, they can work in conjunction with other products and techniques to create the most effective remedy.
